Aarika Mitchell, DMD, is a general dentist at Seattle Special Care Dentistry. She found her way to Seattle after studying in Alabama. She received her undergraduate BS in Chemical Engineering from Auburn University and her DMD from the University of Alabama at Birmingham School of Dentistry.
Dr. Mitchell was drawn to SSCD for its thoughtful, compassionate approach to care. Like each member of the SSCD staff, she considers the dental and mental health of her patients every step of the way; “My goal is to make sure patients are comfortable in the setting of their dental care. We will work together to figure out the best and safest form of sedation so that patients with anxiety and dental phobias know they have a place to receive care in a way that is also healthy for their psyche.”
In addition to her work at SSCD, Dr. Mitchell holds a certificate from Swedish Medical Center General Practice Residency, where she is the Assistant Program Director.
